Anyone that has pets, knows the frustrations of traveling with them and the mess they can create in your car. As owners of 4 labs, we have found the following products to be the most effective and comfortable to transport your furry friends.

Removable seat covers are a must when traveling with pets as they provide the easiest method for clean-up and a protective barrier to preserve your seats. They come in various colors and shapes to accomodate every backseat of every car. They simply buckle around the headrest and lay over the seat. Most include holes for seatbelts so that additional passengers can ride. They are easy to remove and easy to wash.

Ramps are a must on vehicles that have a lift or for older (and heavier) dogs. Most are removable but there is the built-in option for the serious dog owners. They are light weight and usually foldable for easy storage. Lengths and other exclusive features are also available.

Nothing is worse than trying to take an excited pet to the vet and trying to keep them in the backseat with one arm and drive with the other. Worry no more as there are now "pet gates" to keep your friend in the backseat and out of harm's way. Special dimensions may be needed when order these as the product has to fit exactly in the seats. These are also removable and collapse with the pinch of two buttons. Lightweight and won't damage your seats.

For smaller riders, safety harnesses go around the seatbelt to ensure that the dog doesn't slide around and hurt themselves, or scratch up your leather interior. These are easy to remove and washable (in case of some car sickness). These come in various sizes to suit every size of dog.

To keep your dog from falling in between the seats and leg area of your backseat, a product has been made called the Extend-A-Seat. This invention provides a "seat purgatory" to prevent your pet from becoming victim to the black hole of leg space. It has a main leg for support and also attaches to the back of the front seats.
